The Old Boma Hotel requires a wide variety of vegetables to supply it's kitchen, many of which were previously unavailable in Mikindani. To solve this problem, local people have created an organic market garden, the seeds supplied by Trade Aid, along with advice on irrigating and growing a selection of vegetables. The produce of the market garden is sold to The Old Boma, Samaki and local buyers.
