Selous Game Reserve
The Selous, the largest game reserve in the world (50% larger in area than Belgium), is a world heritage site and the ultimate wilderness experience. The Selous Mbega Camp is set alongside the Rufuji River in its own private riverine forest.

Kilwa
Kilwa, another designated world heritage site, is the midpoint of the Swahili Coastal Tour. It is an area of Tanzania that carries many reminders of an exotic past. The Kilwa Seaview is set up on a cliff overlooking the island of Kisiwani with its 14 Century ruins. |

Mikindani
Mikindani is a large, well-protected harbour close to the Mozambique border. It is a fascinating old town with winding streets and a blend of African, Arabic and Colonial buildings. Accommodation is in the beautifully restored Old Boma Hotel. |

Day 1 |
Internal flight from Dar es Salaam to Mtere airstrip which serves the Selous
Mbega Camp. 4WD transfer to Mbega Camp. Full board accommodation is in
raised safari tents with en suite facilities and river-view verandas

| Days 2 & 3 |
The tour includes morning and
afternoon game drives or boat safaris.
Walking and night safaris are also
available under the leadership of an
expert tracker/guide.

Early departure for the Swahili coastal
town of Kilwa. Stay 2 nights on a B &
B basis at The Kilwa Seaview Resort.
Accommodation is in large stone
bandas with ocean view verandas and
en suite facilities. The Seaview offers
the opportunity for swimming, fishing,
diving and snorkelling from its own
private beach.

Depart by 4WD for the historic town of Mikindani. A lunch stop in Lindi before
arrival at The Old Boma in time to settle in and relax around the pool before
dinner.
